Name: Hoyle Gender: Tom Age: Eight moons Tribe: None Postion: Loner
Description/Picture: First Impressions Second Look
Exquisite would be the last word to come to your mind when looking at this young tom. His fur is, to say the least, scruffy. Despite appearances it is groomed quite often. Usually it has a somewhat sleek and soft look to it. It only takes a slightly closer look to ruin that image. Agouti hairs with gray and some dark brown can be found easily. His hind legs aren’t in the best condition, with fur not so much missing as oddly thinned out.
Despite his ordeals and youth, Hoyle is not entirely a sack of bones. His ribs aren’t outlined by his dark fur, but he definitely doesn’t have a belly hanging to the ground, like some kittypets. Still being young, of course, he has quite a bit of room to grow. Hoyle’s legs are a bit big for him, making his run rather awkward. As a result, he tries not to run much, as he looks like a miniature horse, moving his front legs together and his back legs in poor unison.
Indeed he is a bit of a gangly youngster, but what of his face? It is one well-carved caricature, Hoyle’s face. His neck is a little long, allowing for a smooth and gradual change from neck to throat to chin. His chin juts down a little, giving his muzzle a somewhat doggish appearance. The nose is covered in minute, dark hairs, and only faintly pink. It rises into a bit of a bridge, then lowering into a small dip, making up the space between his eyes. Above his eyes, Hoyle’s skull takes a bit of a sharp angle towards his tall ears. And we’ve already covered pretty much what happens from there.
First Glance: A small, young tom with sleek-ish fur the colour of coal.
Personality: Some, upon meeting this young lad, might think him quite the energetic little chap. Hoyle doesn’t bubble energy like some cats, but he does tend to shift a lot. His ears, tail, whiskers and claws only ever seem to cease their movement when he’s asleep, and even then, only when he’s not dreaming. He looks very much alive and bright. Also, cats often think he has an attention span equivalent to that of a kit. This is a common misconception- he listens, but his body has its own, non-stop agenda of shuffles and twitches.
In most senses, Hoyle is naive and has that bright and sunny outlook on life of most young cats. Obviously he was raised differently from a tribescat, so his morals are different by nature. Hoyle thinks fighting, let alone killing, is a most abominable thing. He doesn’t feel much for other creatures, such as prey, but on his short journeys as a loner, he will choose berries over fresh prey whenever possible. Besides, his hunting skills are- and I’m being generous- miserable.
